mobo suggestions

hey everyone, im going to be starting my first build and i am looking for suggestions for a nice mobo to use for a Core 2 duo processor to be used primarly for gaming.

Right now the Asus P5W DH Deluxe is probably the best motherboard you can get for a Core 2 Duo. The ATI RD600 is supposed to be coming out in October. I'm going to buy one of those two. If you want to run SLI you'll probably have to wait a few months for the new nforce 590 boards to come out. This has a good write-up on C2D mobos.

abit AW9D-MAX is looking good from initial feedback if you can live with the layout.
Asus P5B Deluxe is also supposed to be good.

I might build a budget pc, tech spot suggests the asrock 775 dual vsta. How much performance would you lose with pcie 4 oposed to agp 8.
