There was no point really. Originally, the RV535 80nm die shrink was supposed to be used in the X1650Pro and X1300XT, but it turns out that the old 90nm RV530 is used in those cards as well. It's just that everyone was expecting a 6 month mid-point refresh and the RV560 for the mid-range is delayed and with the integrated Crossfire engine, it isn't cheap to produce, so they just changed the numbers to make everyone feel better and confuse them.
