noob crossfire question

Hi guys,

Im about to buy a new computer and just deciding on the graphics card. I like the look of the 1950XTX but all the sites that sell it mention that you must have a crossfire compatible motherboard. I only plan on having a single graphics card not 2 so my question is... will any mobo with a pci-e slot do? or does it have to support crossfire to run the single card?

any motherboard with a pci-express slot will run a x1950XTX, you do NOT need a crossfire board to use ONE ATi card...
