Windows 7 boot issue

First time build and I'm having the strangest problem with windows booting. On startup, everything will boot correctly until password-entry. The screen will then stay black until the computer enters sleep mode, after which mouse movement will bring up the password-entry as if there was no problem. Haven't noticed any performance issues.

I've tried startup repair, system restore with no success.

Core i5 2500k 3.30ghz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
4x2g DDR3 1600 RAM
MSI P67A-G43 (B3) LGA 1155
Windows 7 64-bit

If you can try to disable the sleep mode to see if you can get into win 7.
