For the noobs on board ... ... why should they have to learn the rules the hard way ... ... being such a generous person such as moi,,, when I can post a quick summary of the rules/survival tips I've learned along the way from the community?
So here goes...
• Always pick a topic that nobody else on the board has any chance of being able to do anything useful with.
• Always assume that the other side is made up of 1D10TS, thus any and all requests for information or facts are simply being made to inflame you.
• Who cares where your data comes from, it agrees with you and everyone should simply accept it.
• There is no need to actually read beyond the title or selected snippet of the article(s) posted that appear to agree with you... What can anyone get from the article that you can't get from the title?
• Any replies posted with contradictory comments and linqs to back them up only exists because of some great caballer with no honor is being paid by another clandestine group which disagrees with you partly because of some big money organization out to overthrow known laws of physics, logic, common decency not to mention homemade apple pie with ice cream.
• Since the other side has opposite views only because they are pitiful subhumans not able to think clearly if at all, then they don't deserve the respect you would normally give to any other arse on the street
• There are no honest differences of opinion, remember that the other side only takes that stand because their position is so weak.
• Remember, when presented with facts that don't appear to agree with you, you can always retreat to the "Well, I'm not an expert in that" just in case the usual "I don't believe you" doesn't seem to work.
I'd give you five stars if i could... Ahh hell with it..
**Gives RichPLS 5 stars**
You forgot;
"I forget my source, but I'll look it up later", and said source is never provided. Always a classic.
He also forgot. "Editing a post after you have been proved well and truly wrong will hide your stupidity, go unnoticed and help you win friends".
[*:af7b0cc887]If you have absolutely nothing to contribute to the discussion at hand, feel free to jump in with a "Don't you pathetic geeks have anything better to do?" comment.
[*:af7b0cc887]If the subject being discussed is speculative, the please leave a "Well I'm sure (Company X) reads this forum and takes advice from you experts.
".
[*:af7b0cc887]Keep in mind that the Forumz were not created for people to learn. Nor do the Forumz exist for one to have intelligent discussion/debate with like-minded people.
[*:af7b0cc887]The whole purpose here is to elevate your anonymous username to a tech-god status. Ideally, one can do this by posting factual and unbiased information - but this is the long, hard way. It is much easier and faster to advance your anonymous identity by putting people down. You can also mask any incompetence by doing so.
[*:af7b0cc887]Remember, If I am telling you how it is, and you are not getting the message - then logically, the problem is at your end.
I'm waiting for someone to post something about a llama suit and controls or something now.
When all else fails and you no longer want to have a pointless conversation, move on to emote actions.
you forgot the golden rule that having a mind of your own isn't going to make you friends so always go with the majority regardless of if it is right or wrong.

Yeah!
What he said!

[*:b025c41f5b]If you start losing the debate have your friend come in and act like a expert on the subject to agree with you. This way you still have a fighting chance.
or be like certain members and make them up
The amount of seriousness with which your comments are taken is directly proportional to the animation of your avatar and/or signature.
Everyone on the Forumz is younger than you, never employed, lives in their parents basement, is a US citizen, and has never read a book.
If you read something obscure on a site once, everyone else is familiar with it.
It is considered acceptable to use the phrase, "You can google it," when your feeling too put-out to take 30 seconds to provide a link.
People care how you feel about a topic that was new(s) pre-last month.
Don't use the Shift key if it atrophies your pinkies. Also don't turn off Caps-Lock for the same reason.
Spelling and grammar are shackles imposed by The Man, and can safely be tossed aside here.
Other posters prefer to not know what comments you are referring to.
If your bbcode is messed up, there is no way to fix it.
If someone goes off topic, PM everyone who stayed on topic if you have further questions. Better yet, start a new thread altogether.
If your starting up a new business and are looking for a good method for free advertising, this is the place.
Lastly, sarcastic people are idiots.

Fixed...
Sorry it was bugging me
It is considered an acceptable practice to fix something that isn't broken.
I hate the [list] tag!
[*:a2fac2f077]If somebody starts spamming, please just start flaming the OP - who you know will not be back to read it. Never report it to the mods - as they read each and every post in every section.
[*:a2fac2f077]If a thread is more than one page long, feel free to not spend the time reading it. Just jump in at the end. It should be obvious to everyone that your views and opinions are all that count.
[*:a2fac2f077]If somebody posts a question, and another has already answered it - by all means, please post the answer again. You can even include an irrelevant detail - this will show you're an amazingly insightful contributor with a distinct eye for detail.
[*:a2fac2f077]The word "Lose" is always spelled with two "O"s - ALWAYS.
Rules are there for the regulars. Rules do not apply to idiots, because after all rules are there to protect idiots.
..* sample FART!*..
Express thyself often and openly...
[*:3434ce5012]1337 or broken English are the preferred methods of communication.
[*:3434ce5012]The more you post here, the more we believe you really do have a life outside of here.
[*:3434ce5012]Sarcasm translates perfectly well over the internet. Most web browsers will recognise it and change the color on the viewer's screen.
• The more you post here, the more we believe you really do have a life outside of here.
• Calling someone a fanboy is the correct way to win an argument.
• Always refer to the fact that someone was wrong on some obscure fact from months ago.
• Remind the other person that they are a fanboy if they disagree with you.
• Use big words if you feel like it. You don't even need to know what it means.
• Feel free to flame. No really, the mods are totally weak and lame. Since they don't know how to moderate, they'll allow it.
• Complain about flaming yet never once use the report button.
REPORTED!
I thought that was the report button... :?
*Fanboy is spelled Fanboi
Yes, yes, how foolish of me. Proper spelling and grammar are faux pas also.
Absolutely, unless it's 1337.
*gets the minigun ready*
