In general I am not a huge Star Trek fan but damnit man I am ready for somone to invent a holodeck. Or at least some kind of neural interface for the internet. Like in Tad Williams "Otherland" books.

Neutral Interface? You mean like go watch a Yourtube video without going online a secind time to view it. It is already loaded onto your history?

Nah, neural interface as in jack your brain directly into the net without having to go through a traditional mouse/keyboard/monitor setup. Just plug in your brain. It will happen someday. In fact I am pretty sure I read about advanced targeting systems for the F22 and F35 fighters using brain recognition sensors built into the helmet to help lock on missiles. If they can do that it is only a matter of time and money before the link can go both ways.

The end of power cables, like kettle types for your computer and kettles. Wireless everything so that the tangle under my desk disappears.

Like as in laser electricity? Wireless electricity. Wouldn't you need a static discharger and a transconnecttor to collect the charge?
