Labdog, are you going to delete your duplicate posts? This poll will suck if it's spread out across three threads.

Hi Guys.

- MOBO INSTALL DIFFICULTY OR WEIRD PHENOMENA WITH -

maybe this can be funny but also worthwhile however.

during your new motherboard installation, have you had:

- some difficulties to install it? which ones?
- strange phenomena which are puzzled you for a while related to your motherboard and whatsoever?
- maybe other things related to?

some comments about your mishap(s) are welcome.

Current temps without OC'ing (going to redo my Voltage mod this afternoon): CPU 30 MB 29 (this is with watercooling).
No instabilities anymore... use to have some conflicts between my SB Live! and the Southbridge but I fixed that by disabling the COM-ports.

what kind of incompatibily can exist between a sound card (possible irqs 5,7,9,10,11) & com1/com2(irqs 3&4)?

you have a cpu temp of 30°C but in idle mode? & what is your cpu?
do you use also some peltiers with your watercooling? i dont think so because in that case you should have a 10-20° temp.

I needed some free IRQ because my soundcard didn't liked sharing it with the ACPI controller, when I used Win98.
Now I use Win2k and all devices share IRQ11 (Nic, SBLive!, videocard, RAID controller), but I don't use the COM ports so I don't have to enable them again.
30 C is in idle, with full load the temp is 3-4 C higher, I don't use peltiers yet... maybe I will build them in when I have Summer Break.

AMD Athlon XP1600+ unlocked, I OC'ed it too 1540 MHz two days ago, but when I just turned my PC on it wouldn't boot at that speed so it is back to 1400 again, will try to find out what is wrong Thursday (then I don't have school).

Hi Guys,

for the "<b>other</b>" choice of this poll, you can maybe precise your motherboard and everything you think is pertinent of.

thanks.

I OC'ed it further it seems to be running stable at 140*12=1680 MHz. Have troubels running the memory behind 145 MHz... although it is CAS2 PC2400 memory, will try to increase some voltages.
