Sytem locking up when trying to Shutdown

it seems everytime i shut my system down it locks up at the time the system says " shutting down." i have been plagued with this ever since i've had my system the specs are...
MSI K8N Neo2 PE Mobo
AMD 3700+ (Sandieago) Cpu
1 gig OCZ Dual Channel memory
Raid 0 WD raptor HD 36 gig each
ATI X800Xt Video card

All drivers and firmware/bios are updated I think ive nailed it down to Norton system works But not sure anyone have any ideas>? any help would be greatly appreciated ... thanks

you can get that sort of effect if the nVRAID BIOS & nVidia storage drivers are mismatched.
