DFI- SLI- DR-UT with X-Fi

Hey just wondering if anyone else has incourred this issue. My X-fi was working fine as well as the rest of the system. But when I had to remove a video card due to a fan failure, (yes it was switched back to solo-card mode on the board) the board would fail to boot XP. During the device listing it would just scroll , and scroll. After I put the second card back in, uninstalled the vgfa driver, and set it back to single mode on the board, all was well for about two days. I ended up flashing my BIOS and wal-ah, all is well again, in either single or SLI mode. I thought this was weird seeing how I installed the X-fi into two other systems with no loading failure of windows.
