Isn' the nvidia 7950GX2 a lot more powerful than the 7900GTX, (its basically two 7900GTX's stuck together isn't it?).......if so why does the VGA charts show it (the 7950GX2)having a lower fps (compared to the 7900GTX) in every benchmark?

First, 7950GX2 is two 7900GTs on one PCI-E board.

Second, you need high resolutions to take advantage of the 7950.

i have to decide which one to get and i'm not sure is all, i'll probably get a 19" monitor but im not sure, it may and up as a 17", other sites showing benchmarks clearly show that its more powerful in games like HL2, Doom, Oblivion etc but these results don't match....i was just wondering why...

i've found a 7900gtx and a 7950GX2 price is same, and im planning on gettin Core2Duo E6600, Asus P5B deluxe mobo....which card wud be better
