Change docked profile

If have installed Windows 7 for an UK keyboard on my notebook.
But when I dock my notebook, I use an external US keyboard.

Is it possible to configute Windows 7 that it automatically uses the correct
keyboard (US or UK) layout based on whether or not I have my notebook
(Dell Latitude D620) docked in a Docking Station ?
(US keyboard when docked,
UK keyboard when undocked)

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't UK and US keyboard configurations identical anyway?

The diff between UK/US keyboard is small, bit noticable.
The most important diff which makes live difficult is the backslash.

Ofcourse I can change keyboard layout via the keyboard icon in systemtray.
But in XP this was done automatically by creating a docked and an undocked
profile. When docked XP would automatically use US and undocked UK.

How can I setup a docked/undocked profile in Windows7 ?
