So here's my dilemma....I'm running a 4000+ X2 on an AM2 mobo. I was running the M55 board with the nForce 4 chipset and I could get my cpu running at 2.73GHz max (being limited only by the chipset). I ran the following settings
FSB: 273
CPU MULTI: X10 1.475V ~2730 MHZ
HT MULTI: X4 +.3V ~1092 MHZ
RAM: 533 CAS 3 ~340 MHZ
It was very easy to obtain this clock but 273 was the max for the board nomatter what the multiplyers for everything else was. I always ran it at 260 just because I like nice round numbers. Anyway, I broke that board in an unfortunate video card removal incident and I ordered the new 590 chipset to replace it. So far I love this board except for when it comes to overclocking. I can only get it up to 230 with everything still at stock. Anything above 230 and it won't boot. I can drop my RAM and I can drop the HT links....I can up all the voltages, still I get nothing. I'm at work right now but I'll give you the settings I can remember. It has a lot more options than my old board so maybe I am doing something wrong. I would like to hit 2.6 again and 2.8 has always been my goal. I'm starting to miss the days of overclocking with jumpers and replacing a passive cpu cooler with an active one so that doom and heretic would load faster from DOS.

I know that the CPU is not overheating, I have never seen it above 50C. Here is any other specs you might need.
Enermax Liberty 500W
AM2 X2 4000+ w/ Zalman CNPS9500
2GB Corsair XMS2-6400
7600GT(x2 SLI)@650/860 w/ AC NV5 Silencer(s)
Gigabyle M59SLI-S5
Does anyone else have problems getting this board up to at least 240 or does anyone have some suggestions as to where I could start?
