Dear friends:
I am frustrated that Activesync only recognizes COM1 to COM9 as
available serial ports. The problem is that most Bluetooth stacks
generate virtual COM ports in the range of COM10 to COM99, so it makes
almost impossible to synchronize my PocketPC with my notebook using
Bluetooth.
Any hint?
Thanks

I'm not familiar with bluetooth virtual com ports, but are you sure you
can't select lower-numbered virtual ports? I would have thought you should
be able to select any unused com port number. Most usb-serial ports for
example allow that.

When you say "only recognizes", are you saying the drop down list in
connection settings? You don't see any other ports available for
connection?

In the drop down list only COM ports in the range from 1 to 9 appear.
Any other COM port doesn't appear.

The Microsoft driver for Bluetooth Virtual COM Ports doesn't allow you
to select the COM port number.
