I have a turion notebook, im satisfied with everything but the tempreture of it. The laptop stays cool but the fan turns on alot and its extremly annoying.. anyone else get this..?

I just bought mine and it gets hot also at sometimes the fan spins faster and then it mellows down but I purchased a cool pad which elevates the notebook to make sure nothing is blocking the vent and it does not happen any more. Some come with fans on the pad and powered by USB . Sometimes the vent may be covered make sure nothing is in it's way because it happened to me one time and the fan beganspinning very fast but as soon as I moved whatever was covering the vent, it calmed down. I hope this helps.

I have an X2 and I have been putting it through it's paces an haven't noticed high temps(to the touch). The laptop WILL heat up just like a desktop but as long as it's within operating specs you'll be fine. Turion uses around the same power as Turion X2 so crank it up.


As long as you don't have a Sony battery (inside joke).

If your feeling the air come out and the heat that's good especially if they're only coming on occasionally.
Now if they're on a lot or you don't feel much hot air your fans/HS are probably clogged.
Happened on my A64 3800 laptop.
I cleaned it your to find 1/4" caked dust around the HS's and fans.
Now it feels a lot hotter but is running much much cooler.
