Is there any point in updating mobo drivers?

Is there any point in installing the new mobo driver updates like the Lan drivers and audio drivers? I mean if the ones that came with the cd are working ok there isnt any point right? there wotn be any increase in performance would there?

There may be buggy drivers, requiring update.

Of course updating drivers is a good idea - there are always more efficient ways of doing things being developed.

it IS important to update motherboard drivers

updated motherboard drivers fix previously unknown problems.... address performance issues and enable options that weren't thought of at the time of conception.

Before I updated my motherboard drivers for my A8V-MX it wasn't actually locking the AGP Freq. soooooooo my mild overclocks quickly made a paper weight out of my 9800pro. I update whenever I can,

its always good to keep your drivers up to date because companies are always fixing erros and your pc will have more compatibility with all the utilites.
