Get whichever videocard is on sale I'd get an 1800+ or 7800+.
They'll play all games on decent settings.
I wouldn't go all out if you don't mind buying a new one in a year.
This way you can buy a new card for DX 10 within the next year or two without throwing away a really expensive slightly outdated one.

My suggestion.
I'm guessing you want links to them if that's the case ask and I'll look... if I have time.

Why spawn a new thread ? Weren't the advices you were given in your previous thread helpfull enough ?

The 266MHz the E6700 has over the E6600 will cost an extra $200, that's not exactly cost effective.

Don't overlook the X1900XT, it is cheaper than the 7900GTX and performs very close to it.

You're thick as a brick if you think that performance is directly proportional to a system's pricetag, seeing how you went for outrageously overpriced components ($400+ for 2GB of DDR2 strikes me as particularly ridiculous) I can't help but to come to that conclusion.

While you're at it, why dont you add a $280 NIC, a $300 RAID card and a $240 PhysX "accelerator" ?

Hell, just sort all of Newegg by highest price and just pick whatever comes up on top in every category...
