HP h6315 audio speaker selection

On the HP h6315 iPAQ Windows CE PDA/phone device, mixerGetNumDevs()
returns zero and waveOutGetNumDevs() returns a single device. Any audio
sent to this device comes out the iPAQ's rear speaker-phone speaker
instead of the front-facing earpiece speaker intended for voice
conversations. The only application I know of that uses the front
speaker is the built-in phone application cprog.exe. How can I send
audio to this front phone earpiece speaker?
