I think it's worth paying $30 more for a X1900XT.

Mee too. Definetly at a better $/performance ratio than the X1800XT.

Yeah, I'd pay $30 extra to swap the 1900XT for my card and I am sure Prozac would be right there with me.

X1800XT isnt worth the money with the awesome X1900XT!

I just notice this, and my memory seems to be faulty, but wasnt the X1900XT supposed to 512mb??
I know the size of memory isnt as important, but how would this cut-down affect its performance and overclockability??

Original X1900XT was 512MB but more expensive. ATI recently announced the 256MB X1900XT along with the new X1950XTX. The 256MB ones are priced nice and low, although they seem to not only have less memory, but are rumored to have slightly relaxed memory timings and offer a little less performance than the 512MB. Still, the 256MB XT is the king of it's price range.

Brings up a question for the modders here: Anyone heard of flashing 256MB XT to a regular 512MB XT bios? Not that big a deal so probably nobody would bother trying. But I'd be curious to see if the timings rumor is true and if that flash could help equal the 256MB one to the 512MB one more often.

ooh so this is that card, when I read about it they said it was going to be a cut down X1900XTX meaning that it would have the same core and memory clocks. Thats why I thought this was just some manufacturer made up card (like the 7900GT with 512mb).
