P775 NO REFRESH RATES

I got my PF775 17" viewsonic delivered today and hooked it up. Went to mess around with the refresh rates and only optimal and default choices are listed. Downloaded 23.11 Nivida drivers and still nothing. Where are they???? I have a ASUS V7700 GF2 32meg.

make sure that your computer recognizes that you either have that new monitor or a plug and play monitor. make sure that it doesn't just say default monitor.

It said PF775 in the display properties so I figured it was all set but, no refresh rates. I then installed the monitor drivers off the CD that came with it and rebooted with no change. I then went to device manager and clicked on change driver, Search for better driver, win98se asked for the viewsonic CD and after trying just about every folder FINALLY!! it loaded a driver. Now the refresh rates are listed and the display properties show the monitor as Viewsonic PF775. What a pain in the ass!!!! By the way, nothing listed in the manual about loading drivers. Time for a Beer!!
