Please Suggest me a Descent motherboard for Intel PentiumD 2.66Ghz processor . My budget is 5-6K at max.

Motherboard from Intel and otherthan Intel !

what is the diffrence in DDR2 512/533Mhz and DDR 512/400Mhz ?

OK, that's a max budget of approximately £70 / $130

Now, it's a Socket 775, I assume, so I'd probably tell you to go with the Asrock 775DUAL-VSTA motherboard - upgradable to Core 2 Duo (when you can afford it), can put old or new video cards and memory in...

About £40 in the UK.

I was thinking, £5000+ is one HELL of a motherboard!

According to XE.com, 5500INR is ~£63, or ~$120 US for you americans.

What other components do you have you wish to use with it? Do you have a preference between DDR1 and DDR2? AGP or PCI-E?

The difference between those two RAM modules is the speed they can run at, if you are running a single module, 533MHz would be preferable for the D805, but if you are running two modules in Dual Channel, then it doesnt really matter as you will have more RAM bandwidth than FSB bandwidth anyway, so you could go for the 400MHz modules if they are cheaper.

Are you planning to overclock?
