This is my solution for him:
AMD Athlon 3500 s939
ASUS A8S-X
2x512MB DDR400 Geil Value
Ati Radeon 1600Pro or nVidia 7600GS
WD 160GB SATA
DVD-RW
ATX400W LCPower

Is this enough for him?

Thank`s guy`s

>new games

Will play new games for the next year or so - maybe a bit longer - but will get progressively slower as games get more demanding.

>music, internet, etc

Will be fine for this.

get an amd 3700+ only like $30 more plus better performance, and change the 7600gs to 7600gt same deal and everything else looks good.

Either spend the $88 on a 7600GS or move up to the 7900GS for $190, the cards inbetween are not good for the price/performance now. That wasn't the case just a little while ago. And if just over $200 isn't an issue, the 1900GT could be a good option as well, depending on what games he will play.

I know that i can get a much better gpu but i have a very limited budget. I can`t make a choice. Maybe i can get a 1600xt but it`s very rare on Serbian market. Many components are overpriced (for example, ati 1900xtx cost over 600 EU, on some places over 700).

I was just trying to point you to ones that are currently a good bang for the buck. On the lower End, the 7300GT and 7600GS can't be touched by ATI's offerings, while mid-range and high-end ATI's are very nice. Although they are very power demanding and produce a lot of heat compaired to nvidia.

Why are you going with S939? In my opinion, go AM2 for sure, get a cheaper CPU (Sempron) and wait til you have the cash to get something better. With the money you save from the cheaper Proc, get a better GFX Card. If you still want to go cheap, an ATI x850xt may be a good option, but I'd seriously thing about something from the x1800-x1900 set.

he is building for a friend, he isn't going ot be upgrading all the time and doctoring his home pc, I suggest going 7600 gt, much better than an x1600 which is kinda a piece of crap. Also if you can get ahold of a 3700 plus I would, shop around. I guess I agree with the other guy who said pretty much the same thing.

Thank`s guys. I`m AM2 mobo and 3500+ CPU. For GPU I must take 7600GS (because of budget limitations - i tried to make my friend more generous but it didn`t work )).

This is a final combination:

AMD Athlon 3500+ sAM2
MSI K9N - NeoF
2x512 DDR667 Value RAM
WD 160GB SATA2
nVidia 7600GS
DVD-RW
CD-RW
LC Power ATX400W midi case

I think that this will be enough for next 2 years of gaming on medium settings )
