After considering the HP LaserJet 2840 and the Canon MF8170c color laser
all-in-ones, I ended up getting the Brother MFC-6840D black and white laser
all-in-one. It is less than half the price of the color machines. The color
machines got less than raving reviews. They also are not capable of duplex
printing. For the money I saved, I can get a single purpose color laser
printer should the need arise. Then I would have a large selection
available.

I have not completely set up the MFC yet, but it seems to perform simple
faxing, copying, and printing without a problem.
