I am using DSL at my home. My package is 512kb/s but my connection is only around 22kbps. Does there any tweaks can be used in order to improve my internet connection? Is is totally depends on my internet provider (ISP)?
Somebody pls help me...

Not really. sounds like you're getting ok performance though.

How are you testing it?

Go to Toast.net or cnet.com and run the performance monitor. See where your connection ranks.

If you want to see improvements, you will need to upgrae your connect. No tweak will give you anything you'll notice.

that doesn't seem right mate. you say you got a 512 kb/s connection but it comes to around only 22kbps. It doesn't make sense.

I have a 128kb/s connection and it comes to around 28 to 30 kbps.

what ISP you using.

512K / 8 = 64kbps

Try dslreports.com, they have a tweak tester under tools

38.773 kb/s, thats what i got from dslreports mate.

so, for SeMe, 22 kb/s is way too less than 64 for a 512 kb/s connection.

22kbps is slightly faster than the speeds I get on my cell phone

Just remember the old saying...

The longer the cable, the slower your speeds will be. It takes that much longer for the data to get from point A to point B.
