Hi everyone,! I just built a Quad SLI rig.Yesterday I took my dual core AMD X2 4800+out and replaced it with a FX 57. I ran 3DMark6 and came back with a score thats almost 1917 points less than with the dual core.Somethings just not right.I do not seem to be getting the performance that I should out of this machine. I would appreciate it if someone has any ideas. Here's my rigs specs: Motherboard - Asus A8N32-SLI Delux / CPU FX 57 OCed to 3.08 / GPUs 2-Nvidia 7950GX2/ PPU-BFG PhysX card128Mbs / Corsair XMS CL2 Platnum 2 Gigs / Power Supplys- Ultra X Finity 600W SLI-Thermaltake PurePower 300WGraphics only/ Fan &Heatsink Zalman 9500/ 2-Lite On 16X dual layer DVD Burners/3 Mechatronics 120mm AC Fans/ THermaltake Tia Chi Super Tower case /Hp 23inch LCD/ XP Pro
Thanks for taking the time to look. Here's my scores. Frist let me say that I started with 2 GTXs then went to the 7950GX2s I really thought the 7950s would blow away the GTXs but they didn't My GTX scores were 10,587. The 7950s with the 4800dual core was 8927,with the FX57 it came back with a 7010. Somethings got to be wrong.I took the PhysX card out and ran it again,I came back with the same 7010. Thanks,!

My 4800 was 2.4 the FX57 was 2.8 stock which is a faster CPU plus I have it OCed to 3.08 I should be getting a better score, not 1900 points lower. this is what I cant understand.

Uh, the 4800 is dualcore?! No wonder why your loosing points in 3Dmark06. Also, benchies really dont mean much, as long as your satisfied with the computer itself. I would throw that 4800 back in, beats the FX57 to my knowledge.

NO I didn't have to drop the numbers on the ram. I dont know why people think that the X2 4800 is faster. I'm starting to think that maybe I recieved a bad CPU? With the setup I built, this should be flying. I even tried taking out the PhysX card, but I still recieved the same exact score. 7010 for this rig is slow.I checked back from when I was running 2 XFX 7800 GT oc cards with the X2 4800 and my score was 7800.Now i'm running Quad with an FX57 and i'm 790 points below that.

the 4800+ would be better than the fx-57

even if you oc'ed the fx to ~3GHZ your comparing it to a dualcore 2.4

dualcores r about 80-90% better than same speed single right? in the right application of course.

do u still have the other parts. if so try the old gpus with the fx57 and the 4800+ with the new gpu's and that should tell u wats slowing u down most.

is this benchmarking program optimized for quad sli? i dont think so. not well at least.

game benchmarks should be higher anyway. who cares about synthetic benchmarks.
