hi all, i'm planning to purchase a PSU but could not decide how many watt should i purchase and what brand from silverstone vs. thermaltake will be the best bang for the buck.

will 600watt be enough power for the future? and if a SLI certified PSU also means that the PSU is a CF certified too?

future specification possibility:
c2d cpu
asus p5w dh
2gb ddr2
4 hdd sata
radeon x1900xtx with future upgrade to crossfire
or perhaps the dx10 gfx card

thanks in advance.

i'm heading for the silverstone st56f strider or perhaps the 600watt of it. but i maybe wrong.

edit: added the SLI & CF certified questioning.

600w should be enough.......even for SLI or CF

I purchased my silverstone 600w modular PSU a little while ago at that time it was about 200 bucks aus and there was also a thermaltake tough power 750w for about the same price. I liked the silverstone and I figured 600w was enough for me.

Thus far my silverstone 600w modular is sweet..... because ALL the cables are modular. (ie you can now make your own cables!)

However I did have a problem with the PSU a few weeks back (the fan was really really noizy)

Silverstone gave me a new psu one week later and a complementary second set of cables!

so im quite happy with their warrinty too
