No ethical IT person will ever help you with this one. Instead of stealing bandwidth from your dumb neighbors insecure wireless router, why don't you pay for your own Internet connection.

the router is the landlord's, in range of like 200 ppl

so if you park your car in the street it will be in the range of thousands of people... if one of them takes your car away, would you like it?

Hmmm... You started off on the wrong foot there.
Why not just ask your landlord if you can piggy-back on the router, it would be much easier and legal.

BTW: What kind of S/S are you seeing?

why do you need to get into the router anyway? you don't need access to the router if you're just leeching off of someone's unsecured wireless connection.

Ask your landlord if he knows of any problems. Its his responsibility to make sure its running ok, right?

Your probably too far from the router.

Edit : I mean, get your own damn connection!

i was able to connect before

Hmmm, What kind of wireless card and laptop do you have? And do you always get this trouble with disconnects? I think you should just get your own.

Reply to habitat87

Could be any number of reasons outside of your control.
Too many people on the router, ip address conflicts, range issues, router issues, other routers conflicting with the other router, etc etc etc.

there is one other person on the router: useing advanced lan scanner

the router is stated up there and my wireless adapter is in signature (the last line)

I can almost safely say it's probably the distance. Again, just invest in an internet conenction, a router of your own, and secure it. Even I have trouble with disconnects from the second level of my house. Wireless isn't perfect, that's the reality of it.

Need suggestion in picking a Processor
By Pro Llama, 4 hours ago:

The i7 920 runs about $290 in US, so I'm guessing that you either are not in the US or need that $400 for more then just the cpu. So a PII 955 c3 is $160 on newegg.com, can get a good asus board for $110ish, and 4gb of ddr3 for $105ish. Total would be around $375. There are also boards in the $60 range that are good but dont have as many features. You can try an i5 setup, but it will push you past your $400 limit.
