Im trying to overclock my ATI X1900 AIW card, and Im having a bit of trouble. Ive tried Riva Tuner and ATItool, but both have been having the same problem. I can boost the core speed just fine, but the memory clock is causing some real problems. A boost of as little as 10 MHz gives me a black screen and I must reboot. Im pretty sure the other hardware is ok, PSU has enough in it, etc, and Im not getting up to load anyway where the power would be a problem. Ive also read of others getting their X1900 AIW's to over 600 MHz memory, so it seems like there is usually lots of headroom on this card. Any suggestions? Or perhaps Ive just got a dud?

You need to exit CCC before you use AtiTools, or the system will crash after you OC the memory even 2 Mhz. I had the same problem until I exited CCC, but after disabling it at start-up the issue disappeared.

Aye, I have an x1900 AIW, and they are VERY easily overclocked.

I currently have mine running 680, 660 (lame memory)

When you recieve your card, the volatages are "low" for an x1900 series card.

1. Always run your fan at 100% (you can do less if you have something to exhaust the hot air over the voltage regulators.)

2. Set your core voltage to about 1.275 with Ati tool, and your memory voltage to 2.1

3. This should enable you to do at least 600, 600.

Running above 1.275 v is NOT reccomended, without adequate cooling.

Have a good one~

BTW, im using 1.35 v, and its stable , but if i try 700 memory, i get unholy artifacts. Using the stock cooler, with 2 90 fans on the card(side door), a 120 from the front, and a 120 exhaust behind.
