Before you open your mouth and say " call dell support", already did and they were useless ! Could only tell me what was already on the net.

Does anybody know the vertical and horizontal dimentions of a 2407wfp monitor. NOT the diagonal, the VERTICAL and HORIZONTAL. Thanks

In the options it says:

Note: Peripherals (e.g. LCD) are in CE.

What the hell is CE ?

Well the aspect ratio of the monitor is 16:10 (not 16:9)

The hypotenuse of the monitor (diagonal) is 24 inches

using the pythagorean theorem a^2 + b^2 = c^2

we get

(5x)^2 + (8x)^2 = 24"^2

where 16/10 reduces to 8/5 and x is the ratio between this and the hyoptenuse

89x^2 = 576 square inches

or

x = 2.544"

from this the width of the screen is 8*2.544 or 20.35"
the height is 5*2.544 or 12.72"
