I have a core 2 duo and a asus motherboards with zalman s9500.I have my processor core frquancy at 339 and my vcore at 1.345 and my dram frquancy at 834.Can you tell me if everything thing seems good from the numbers. My temps are good too. They never reach 60.

should i make the ram 1:1 but when i reach 316 core frquency my ram is like 680 mhz and i dont think that is enought.Should i make the ram like 900 mhz?

so the faster the ram like 900 mhz it will be better right?I shouldint have at 669 with like a 3 ghz conroe.Because my ram is ddr2 800 so i should get to like 900mhz?And that will change my cas latency too?Sorry but i am not good at overclocking.

Personally I would keep the ram at 1:1 assuming it is in dual channel mode, additional speed doesnt help much normally.

Well ok.My pc is right now top of the line.I have an asus p5w deluxe motheboard i have Corsair xms2 1 gb ddr2800 cas latency 5-5-5-12 i have a raptor 150gb and i a core 2 duo e6600.I have 3 case fans and a zalman s9500 on my cpu.My graphic card is 7600gt because i am wating for DX10 so i dont want to buy a better and waste my money. And that 1 gb that i have i will buy 2 more gigs like in a month because before didnt have money.System works perfect and i have it like a moth already so i want to try to overclock.

And when i keep the ram 1:1 ratio.I set the ram to ddr2 533 when my core frequancy is 266.So when i get to like 3 ghz my ram is only like ddr 700mhz so i dont think that is enought. So since i got the good ram for overclocking i want to make it work.I had the ram like 980 yesterday but my pc didnt even boot. But i had it at stock voltage.

By the way this is how my pc looks like :).

Tell me your advice.Thnx

Sounds alright, you should run Prime 95 for a while, and if it quits early bump up that v core, you are well within the margin of safety on the v core.

ok at 3 ghz my pc is good but when i get it to 3.28 with 1.4 vcore and ram like 910mhz it doesint want to boot it shows some blue screen and ten restarts.I cant go more on vcore what should i do i have all the setting as said in the overclocking c2d guide.

hmmmm sounds like your ram is bottoming, and that makes sense, at 910 mhz it's weeeelll above it's rated speeds, have you relaxed the latencies accordingly? Have you bumped up the ram voltage at all? If you want the cpu to clock higher you may have to run a different fsb/ram ratio. I don't know what the multiplier is on your chip, it's 10 right? so why is your ram running so fast, you should run your ram at a lower speed, then when your computer boots at the clock you are aiming for tighten up the latencies, because an fsb of 400 is probably out of the question so that you can run the ram at 800 megs, in 1:1. I don't understand why your ram is running at 910mhz. But I would bet that is your problem.

i have the e6600.Its multiplier 9 and i also tried with ram 1:1 and i didnt even get to 400fsb man.It didnt want to go more then 360fsb.I dont know what is wrong i tried doing the volt but still nothing.

get your ram running at something like 667 mhz, loosen the timings. and try again. what I don't understand is why your ram is running above 800 mhz. I really think it's your ram, and no wonder it won't boot if it's only Cas Latency 5 to begin with, that doesn't leave you much room to overclock. Although you shouldn't even have to.
