How to restore computer through ms dos

Hello,
my laptop when it goes into sleep mode will not come back out.. ive tried restoring to an earlier time but still no luck.. do u have any suggestions which may help

Are the lights on your keyboard still on when the computer is in sleep mode? If not, the USB port for the keyboard may be turned off, and of course if the keyboard isn't working then you can't use it to wake up the computer.

That may be something you can configure in the BIOS settings.
