Computer Not Upgrading to Windows 7

Hello all,
Yesterday I was trying to upgrade my Old pc from xp 32bit to 7 64 bit and it did not work. I have run upgrade advisor on it and done a backup of all my files that are on it but it will not upgrade, I have also tried to upgrade to the 32 bit version of windows 7 but it didn't work either. Here are the specs of my computer: P5Q SE2 motherboard. 6gb ddr2 ram, Pentium 4 @ 3 ghz, not sure what the graphics + sound cards are and 2 sata 3gb/s hard drives. Any Help is appreciated.

  1. There is no way to upgrade XP to 7. Your only option is to make backups of all your data, and perform a clean install.
  2. i think you are getting confused

you select upgrade to save all your settings then you need to click on custom install and then install windows 7 that way

there is no way to directly upgrade from windows xp to win7

if i remember right though there is an aplication that can do it all for you though
