Assuming that you charged your battery but now the card does not read, can
you try the card in another device? As it is you need to determine where
the problem is, the ppc or the card.

I can see the data on the card fine in my laptop. This happened to me once
before, but then started working again. I thought there might be a setting
somewhere.

Before anything else, have you done a soft reset on your device? Sometimes
this works wonderful things.
Second, do you have another card to try in the PPC? If this one works
reformat the original card. If you have reformatted the card since this has
happened, do you know what format you used?
Third, was there anything unusual with your battery draining? Maybe there
is a shared hardward problem.
Fourth, just to be sure, you cannot see the card at all, correct? If not,
maybe you have software that has trashed some register settings. I would
consider backing it up via active sync and doing a hard reset. Chances are
if there is a hardware problem you will need this backup anyways.
