Zalman 9500 on a DQ6 mobo

Hey,

I've been reading some stuff about this HSF not fitting on a gigabyte DQ6 motherboard.
Can anyone confirm if this is true or false?
I would really like to get this cooler for my core 2 duo system...

Help is very appreciated!

Its not on the Zalman compatible list, so one would presume not.

They are not compatible as is. I use the 9500 with the DQ6 but I removed the "Crazy Cool" backplate (three screws and three push pins). Works fine after that. My temps with an PD 805 have been 31 idle and 55 at full load. I have also heard of others cutting the corners off to make it fit also.
