My RAM timings are all screwy

All right, so I purchased some Corsair XMS2 800 for my core 2 build, and the timings are supposed to be 5-5-5-12. I've read some customer reviews that stated that a few motherboards read it running at 5-5-5-15 or even 18, and that you should go in and manually reset them in BIOS. I checked today to discover that my latency timings were off, but in a different way: my motherboard (a P5W-DH deluxe) reads it at 5-4-4-15, and I have no clue whether that is better or worse than its stock latency. What should I do? I've no experience with RAM so any input would be greatly appreciated.
