550w PSU good enough for DX10? Tags: Graphics Cards Support SLI Graphics Last response: September 25, 2006 7:12 PM in Graphics & Displays Share Track September 25, 2006 5:47:01 PM I would like to know if a 550w PSU would be good enough to support 2 DX10 cards in SLI/XFire. I heard they may take up to 300w, even though that dosent seem right. Anyone have an opinion? Thnx. Edit: Im buying the D975XBX Intel motherboard for Core 2 Duo and SLI/XFire, so i may also want to add a 3rd X1600 card for physics, would i need 3 +12v rails, or what? Go for a decent 700W PSU at least, a GameXStream or Enermax Galaxy or PC P&C or TT Toughpower. Don't skimp on the PSU. prozac26 September 25, 2006 7:12:57 PM 550W will most likely be enough for one, not dual. I hope what Cleeve said is true, it'll let users buy good $100 PSUs, rather than $300 monsters. Can't find your answer ? Ask !
