Hey all,

I'm looking for a MoBo that uses the nForce 570 or 590 chipset (preferable 590 which enables 16x on both SLI slots) for Core 2 Duo and is capable of running SLI. Any advice? I'm in the market for a top to mid range MoBo.

Thanks!

They arent out yet. Refer the the long ass post in this same forum.

P5N32-SLi SE Deluxe is the only board right now that does what you are asking but its based on nforce4.

Thanks. :) After wading through that trainwreck of a thread, I've decided to wait for the ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium. That seems to do everything I need as well as being able to better run a Quad SLI if I decide.

Yeah it is a misleading thread. It says they are there but obviously the boards arent even out yet. Thank god for personal research. I wanted the 590 but when weeks turned into months for the release date i found the next best thing.

I only followed that long thread for the first few pages when it first popped up. Now i dont even bother, i have no idea what the hell they are talking about.

Okay, cos I really can't be arsed with that thread - what, apart from the Asus P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi-AP, boards have been confirmed?

I have looked through the other manufacturer's websites and can't find any Core 2 Duo nforce 590 based boards.

If anyone could give a quick list of the ones available or being released soon (i.e. before Christmas) then I for one would be very greatful.

Thanks in advance.

er...that's a link to an Asus P5N32-sli premium.

I said apart from the Asus board please.

I'm sorry but it does help if when replying to someone if you actually read what has been written. It's common sense really.

First of all, there is no real world advatage of have 16x lanes when the cards cant even fill 8x.
And if you must run SLI (terrible $/performance) I would advice you to get a good P965 or 975X Intel chipset based moterboard and mod the drivers. Notice with that with that mod you wont be able to do quad-core but in every other card its proven to be effective enough.

I think the best thing at the moment is the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe, it has the 975X chipset and has a really solid performance. Its also supposed to be really good for OCing although it doesnt have the sli option. It sells for around $270.
