Hi,
Recently after just logging onto my XP ( as Admin) a balloon info pops-up in
the notification area and says:
"Installing Sis fast Ethernet device...."
Then after a few second the system hangs and locks up, so that I must
manually restart the computer.
The thing is that my "Gigabyte 8S648FX-RZ" motherboard does not have any
Ethernet at all !
And this happens almost frequently....

My System info :

Software Information
--------------------
Operating System : Windows XP Professional (5.01.2600 Service Pack 2)
DirectX : DirectX 9.0c

Hardware Information
--------------------
CPU : Intel Celeron CPU 2400 MHz
Bus Speed : 133 MHz
Motherboard : Gigabyte 8S648FX-RZ
System :
BIOS : Award F5
Memory : 256 MB
Sound : C-Media Wave Device
Video : RADEON 7000 / RADEON VE Family (Microsoft
Corporation)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for help

Are you saying that your motherboard does not have an ethernet adaptor or
that it does but you are using an ethernet card or a modem?
