7900GS Any good?

Hey,
I was just wondering if the Nvidia 7900GS is any good, I plan on playing CSS,FEAR,HL2, BF2, and WOW. Thanks in advance!

Good midrange card, but the 256mb x1900xt can eat it alive for 30-40 bucks more.

Yes it's a good card, but it is not as good as the identically priced X1900GT. And as was mentioned, for $40 more the X1900XT 256MB would offer a huge boost. If NV could get the 7900GS down $30+ under the X1900GT, it would be a way more attractive option than it is at current prices.

I am very relieved when you guys get there first and I can do a ditto what Cleeve said reply. But the opposite holds true when some noob posts bad advice. It's a feeling of.... Oh man, I don't have time for this but just can't let it go unchallenged for fear a ill purchase would result. :roll:
