i am running on a dual AMDS Opteron 242 1600 MHz

Also, when this happens, after re-booting.. i would ..let's say turn on my Photoshop or 3dsmax..

and i would lose my lience and would ahve to re-install...
it says my computer's settings have been changed.....

why is this..

for future reference... the blue screan you have, is named "The Blue Screan of DEATH"

Microsoft tried to change the name to something else, but it was too late... now even their websites refer to this as the "Blue Screen of Death"

You must be running windows 2000... try updating all the software first... then contacting the MoBo manufacturer... there is also a dump file, if you post it... I may give you some idea what it means... but I forget where it is... its a ".log" in your base directory, or in your windows directory... I always find it, but it takes me a bit of time...

First I would go to control panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Log

Then choose the "system" section... hopefully an error is mentioned there... post that first, for that is usually more helpfull, since its not so detailed...

Why did you update your BIOS?

When will people learn????

There is only one reason to update a BIOS, and that is if the new BIOS contains a known fix for an EXISTING PROBLEM WHICH IS BADLY AFFECTING YOUR PC.

See?

ok, this sounds fairly easy. there should be a jumper on the motherboard near the battery. take out the power cord and change the jumper over, leave it there for about ten seconds then put it back.
if you have no jumper on the mb just take the battery out.

Your non windows programs are "seeing" different "hardware" because unfortunatley the programmers of the copy protection software are noobs and can't figure out how to tell the difference between firmware and hardware. You are probably having issues with your computer's stability because you did not install all of the latest drivers before you flashed, so try and update them to the latest now and cross your fingers. As for the licesnses i don' think youll be able to find a reasonable way out of reinstalling.
