Could one expect to see a substantial increase in 3D FPS after going to (16) pipes...........if that mod works ?????????
Can this card be opened up to (16) pipes ??????????
I'd like to open the (4) extra pipes & then go back to the x850 bios for starters.
All your questions and everything you need right Here including opening all the pipelines further into the article, read it all and study it before you attempt it, and backup your original X850 bios before you do anything to the card at all so you can flash it back if you need to.
A friend and I both flashed our X850s his worked like a charm with the extra pipelines open, mine did not I ended up flashing back to the original bios, it really depends on how good the quality of the GPU is, if you're lucky you've got a good one, anyhow you won't know until you actually flash it and see.
