Greetings Everyone,

I finally obtained the config fuse readings using ATITools 0.24 .

ATITool version 0.24
Readings as follows:

Device ID ------------------------4B4B
Chip Type ------------------------R481
Mem Size -------------------------256mb
Mem Bus Width ------------------256bit
Active Pipelines ------------------12
Default GPU Clock -------------- 500.00mhz
Default Mem Clock --------------500.00mhz
CONFIG_DIE_FUSES ------------0xFFFFFFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES --0xFFFFFF9F
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES ------------0x861
GB_Pipe_Select -------------------0x2724

LM 63 temperature monitoring chip detected - running @ a steady ' 36 / 37 degrees C ' with Artic Cooling 5 rev2 cooler & Artic Silver 5 on the GPU.

Using utilities tool:PC Wizard 2006 ver 1.68
Results: <<<Video/DirectX 3D Benchmark>>>
Texture: 4145 FPS
Texture(fullscreen): 295 FPS
Particles 3D: 55 FPS
Vertex: 53 FPS

Could one expect to see a substantial increase in 3D FPS after going to (16) pipes...........if that mod works ?????????

Can this card be opened up to (16) pipes ??????????

I'd like to open the (4) extra pipes & then go back to the x850 bios for starters.

Any Help or Comments Appreciated,

Sincerely, I am,
The Gee - MAN

All your questions and everything you need right Here including opening all the pipelines further into the article, read it all and study it before you attempt it, and backup your original X850 bios before you do anything to the card at all so you can flash it back if you need to.

A friend and I both flashed our X850s his worked like a charm with the extra pipelines open, mine did not I ended up flashing back to the original bios, it really depends on how good the quality of the GPU is, if you're lucky you've got a good one, anyhow you won't know until you actually flash it and see.

Luck to you!
