Hey guys, I don't know much about the video cards for rendering in Photoshop, Illustrator and video editing... I hear the quattro cards and fireGL cards are what i'm looking for.. Just wondering how they will perform using these programs...I run a small business with graphic design and am just wondering if switching to a quattro or firegl card will boost my performence in these programs...

Thanks

A sub-$100 card will work just as well as a quadro or FireGL in Photoshop, Illustrator, or video editing.

Look for an X1300 or X1600, they have nice video viewing and even rendering features.

Thank you for the advice!

I'm a professional photographer, and use Photoshop all the time, but I don't have any 3d app or game.

Any advice about the case and the power supply ? I've read some complains from people about how hot is the computer.

I plan to use a couple ot SATA 3 hard drives and of course DVD-R,. 2GB RAM, etc.

I've learn from your, that the Photoshop user, doesn't need to but a fancy Super 3D Gamer card ($500) for Photoshop. And we need to invest our money in memory, fastest drives, and processors.

Thanks a lot Master!

Thanks!

II've received as a present for my birthday from by brother in low who work in Intel (Yeah.....I couldn't tell him that I rather AMD! ) a motherboard Intel (of course) D945Gnt and a Intel Processor Pentium 4 Prescott 3.2Ghz

Probably I can buy a Dual core processor that can fit in this motherboard.

I've check con Newegg.com but it's hard to choose: Dual Core, Core 2 Duo, Core Extreme with prices from $90 to $ 900!.

Any advice for a Photoshop CS2 full time user ?
For example I see a Intel Pentium D 930 Presler 3.0GHz 2 x 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Dual Core Processor for $ 169

How can I know if a Dual Core fit on my Intel D945Gnt ?

Thank you a lot!
