I think i hate you. :) Only because I'm having issues gettings to 3.2Ghz for some reason. Nice temp too thanks to the liquid cooling...I'll probably make the move to liquid after Winter is over (cuz it'll be damn cold enough in my room). Looks good my brotha. Hey I see your Vcore is 1.24. My stock is 1.325 and actually I'm undervolting is and stability testing it. Are you undervolted? Because when i OVERVOLT I can't get it stable a 3.2ghz.

You should probably get better ram. I'm running mine at 4-4-4-12 at the same speed. on the corsair 667 from zip zoom fly for 180~.

I have set the voltage in the bios to 1.3v. I read somewhere that thats the best setting for such a clock.

As for the memory I got TWIN2X1024A-6400 corshair units. Im happy with them actually and the seem to do the job well. Remember faster memory on a C2D system doesnt produce a much faster system.

Cool...I can't get past 422 FSB, I think it may be my Corsair 6400 (that makes it 844) but out of curiousity did you up the other mobo voltage settings?

3.2 ghz is very nice though. I actually haven't bothered to overclock it for like a week, my games weren't showing that much difference with my Radeon 1900xt...Maybe 10-20 fps...

The Mem voltage and the Mobo voltage I have left at auto.

I must say that this overclock was very easy to come by, no hassles. I just updated to the latest bios, set the mem timings to what they are ment to be (what the sticks a rated to) and went from 333fsb to 400. As simple as that.

System is prime stable after 8 hours and I never saw the temp go above 50. Im very impressed and happy with my machine. FX62 killer for 1/4 of the price :)

My MCH and FSB volts are also at normal. I have been able to push my CPU TO 3.7(463fsb) now that my AS5 has set in. Max temps og 55-58 under 100% load. Under normal use (WoW, IE, And Media Player) the cpu usage never sees anything over 20%. Temps are around 50C.

Are your max temps derived from both cores at 100% usage? How do you test?

Can you guys please help me i have a core 2 duo e6600.And i cant even get it to 3.3.I have it now at 2.81 and my temps are like 60 at load and my vcore is 1.325 and my ram is at 4-4-4-12 and 1:1 ratio with the 311 fsb on my cpu.SO i get like 650mhz ram.I have a asus p5w board with corsair xms 6400 5-5-5-12 ram and a zalman cooler s9500.Can you tell me why i cant get my cpu to 3.3?And i had the vcore at 1.425 and my mobo vcore like fsb and mch and ram were bumped up to pretty high. And i could only reach 3.24 when i went to 3.3 it didnt even boot. And the reason why i went to 2.81 is because when i had it at 3.24 my temps reached 70 and about at 3.0ghz they were 64 at load.So now i get 60 on 2.81 and i dont know what is wrong.

Thnx

seems like your voltage is extremely high, that may have something to contribute to the problem. I'm also thinking that your thermal pase may not be applied correctly ,or your heat sink and fan may not be makin' full contact. What kind of flow do you have in your case ,what are ambient air temps, what is the heat sink and fan your using, and thermal paste your using? did you take the plastic sheet off of the bottom of the hsf?

By the way I did notice a huge jump from going to 3.2 from 2.1 as far as performance goes. 2000+ 3dmark 05 points and much better gameplay at 19x12. and I would assume that office apps ,dvd buring and what not would have increased also. but watch out for installing windows overclocked on raid 0 raptors ,because mine did not work until i set it back to optomized defaults, yet it is dual prime stable for days with no more than 49c...

Yes its from running dual prime95's in custom blend mode. Its 8 Hours+ Stable.

first timer here, hi.

just got 2 systems prebuild by computer store.

cpu c2d E6400
m/b giga ds3
ram crucial 2g ddr2 5300
v/b bef 7900gt
psu thermo 430w

use the program call ' pc wizard ' and check the system, notice

processor temp 41 C
processor temp core 1 100 C
processor temp core 2 100 C

is the reading normal?
would like to start learning a little OC from stock.
thank you.

Hey, i just achieved 3.2ghz (400mhz FSB) at E6400 last night. I ran prime95 for a couple of hours without any error. 43C at idle and 54C at load. I'm using 1.34VCore .. maybe, i should lower it? Also, my mem timing is 5,6,6,18 at 2.0V. I use SPD (P5W DH Deluxe mb) and it sets the timing automatically. Should i manually adjust the timing? like 5-5-5-15? Coreduo2 overclock guides said that i should use SPD for asus P5W DH, so i'm not sure. I use OCZ DDR PC2-6400 4-4-4-15 timing.

You can up it to 3.4 ghz without to much voltage increase....

1.4375 volts... i have only had one crash ever, had the computer about a month, and it may have been my videocard running multiple monitors.

I raised the MCH by .1 and the ram by +.2

You have way better cooling than me, so you can probably push 3.6 too.
