BOOTMGR is missing windows 7 acer computer wont read disc
Last response: in Windows 7
have an Acer Extensa 5210. Can't boot the computer. We have message "BOOTMGR is missing".

If you have access to another machine you can download and burn a Windows 7 recovery CD that should put repair the bootmgr.

If that doesn't work, boot off a ubuntu live cd and then save your pictures, then use the Acer recovery procedure which I think is ALT+F10 at Acer Logo to reset machine back to factory settings. If you do this, don't forget to create a set of recovery CD's in case your hdd ever fails.
