What is the best CPU for Asus A32SLI Delux board

The problem that i have is probably common. Here is my setup:

AMD X64 3200+
2 Gb of OCZ memory
2 Asus EN6800 GT in SLI
OCZ 600 Power Supply
Audigy zx 2
Many HD
and Antec 180 Case.

I try to run all the games at the highest level of graphics but it does not work well. It could be CPU or Video related but my problems are often crashes with BSOD or slow speed. I use XP 64 with SP2.

I am contemplating upgrading either Video card to Nvidia 7900 GT or CPU to X2 4600. What would be the better choice?

Thanks for the fast reply. The games i am trying to play are F.E.A.R, Darkstar One, Need for Speed racing games... and the new games that are going to come out.

So if i dig your answer, i should get a 7900 GT or better, any brand would be better? As for the CPU, if i had the money i would probably get an FX-60 but i was leaning more towards a dual core 4600 your idea?

As for the OS, you think i should go back to plain XP ?
