i've taken apart and reassembled the stock HSF / cpu / mobo several times now since the first time it was idling in bios at 59 degrees... now bios is showing 50 degrees, which is obviously hot for my e6300. but if the cpu is really that hot, wouldn't the heat sink blades be hot? and wouldn't the fan be blowing out at least some hot air? the air is cool and the blades only feel slightly warm to the touch. is it likely that there's something wrong with the cpu?
or is it at all possible that bios temp readings are wrong for some reason? just to compare, i looked at speed fan (36 deg) and core temp (41 deg). could they be more right than bios? or do i need to take this chip back and have it checked...
