It gives you something to search for when roaming the city. There are
short-cuts too if you look for them.

All the shops will appear on the map. Hidden races wont

But (hidden) races go away, the shops stay. I would like to have them on
my map, so I don't visit them 2, 3, 4 more times when looking for hidden
shops. (like mark as visited)

I don't think that is possible, however you often get messages from rachel
telling you in which city area you can find the hidden shops .

I don't think that is possible, however you often get messages from rachel

You mean to say the shops don't show up on your map AFTER you've visited
them? That's definitely wrong, and also not what I'm seeing.

Correct. Some shops are allways there. But some shops are only visible on
the map right after I 'find' them. Leaving the shop removes the round
icon (it seems only to occur on 'special' shops, not regular ones).

I havent found this at all...and I'm 60% or so thru the game.

Well, don't know why, but they are all shown now.
Another strange thing I found out: I had all races won, the map was clean
of races and there was nothing I had to do (this was before unlocking
the docks). The only thing I had to do to continue in story was to build
a car with 6 stars... So if someone is stuck in the game and there are no
more races left, try to get the next star for your car. Then the story
should go on.

The other thing to try is to get one of the SUV's. I've read that there
is a (are) SUV event(s) in one of the stages, and the races won't show
unless you're driving one of the SUV's.

is a (are) SUV event(s) in one of the stages, and the races won't show
unless you're driving one of the SUV's.
