Can I raid two drives and yet keep a seprate (third) drive as non raid for OS, without much hassle?
What I mean is that ppl. keep referring to a diskette for settting up raid, problems with recognizing the array, problems with os install, etc.
What if I wanted to put the os and programs on a raptor, alone; yet keep 2 more "mundane" samsung spinpoint p's for a raid 0 for when I do video editing or photochopping? Would't this ease those problems as for all intensive os and driver purposes, it'd be one hd, windows up and running, etc.
Should I install the rapotr first, install os, etc., then when running smoothly, do the raid o array without having to use diskettes, etc?
thanks, and the system will be an abit aw9d max mobo (975x nb/ich7r sb) with conroe and etc. running xp pro.
