start, right-click computer then manage, device manager

and it should be under network adapters, right-click then install/enable what ever comes up really

are you sure its not just disabled in the bios? becasue most people just use wifi now

If an onboard nic, can you give motherboard model number, if a pci card, anything on the labels?
