FOr some reason, with my new computer, i get weird bands of messed up colour on the bottom and right sides of the screen. i am using a X1900 XT 256 MB

one friend suggested that my screen might be slowly dieing, but that seems unlikely, because kkreiger was in widescreen, and it had the colour band inside the letterbox

Does it always occur no matter what you are viewing (desktop, webpages, games, etc.)?

If the monitor is a CRT, check for any magnets you may have close to the area. If you have another video card, you could try swapping that in and seeing if the problem disappears. Onboard video is another troubleshooting option.

A screenshot of this anomaly would be great, if at all possible.
