new duo core 2 pin layout

hi guys.. i'm contemplating picking up a new laptop at a reasonable price. but it does not have the duocore 2 it is duocore but not 2. does anyone know if chip layout is the same?? and i will upgrade the chip at a later date. for insance the current laptop i have i originally had a 1.6 chip and upgraded to a 2.13 no problem. but that is singlecore and the duecore pin out is different. thanks for any help

If memory serves me correct (and lately, it's been hit and miss), the Core Duo laptop (Yonah) was 478 pin, and Merom is suppose to be 479, but it is backward compatible.
